Is it really necessary to make furniture metal halide lamps for healthy anemones. The recommended optimum amount of light for anemones would be approximately 9 to 12 watts per gallon of lighting.

Power compact lighting works well for soft corals, mushrooms, button polyps, polyps, stars, sun coral, Xenia, Dalias, Zoanthid .. You want a minimum of 2 watts per gallon for most soft corals.

Also consider running water, when it comes to corals. Some need high currents, while others prefer less power.
